Camellia Sinensis: Information, Benefits, Uses, and Side effects

Camellia Sinensis is a plant that is used for making teas and has been the subject of countless studies and research over the last few decades due to its numerous beneficial antioxidants and nutrients. It has been shown to help prevent strokes, assist with weight loss, and is known to be an effective antimicrobial. Camellia Sinensis has other common names that it goes by, such as Green Tea, Black Tea, Oolong Tea, White Tea, Wu-long Tea, and Pu-erh tea.

Most Camellia Sinensis plants are found in East Asia but Camellia Sinensis plants are also cultivated in countries like Sri Lanka (Ceylon), Japan, India, China, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, Nigeria, Hawaii, the United States, etc.

Camellia Sinensis can also produce Camellia Sinesis Kombucha which is a fermented drink made from Camellias Sinensis fungus culture along with sugar and tea. The Camellia Sinensis fungus culture is also sometimes referred to as a mushroom or the Kombucha Mushroom because Camellia Sinensis fungus looks like a mushroom.

Camellia Sinensis tea is known to help detoxify the body of heavy metals such as mercury since Camellia Sinensis tea acts as a “chelating agent”. Camellia Sinensis tea is said to be the ultimate detoxifying Camellia Sinesis tea. Camellia Sinensis can also help you lose weight by detoxing your body and causing you to eat less, but Camellia Sinensis only works if taken in large quantities such as 4 or more cups of Camellia Sinensis Tea per day for at least 60 days. If not taken in large quantities it will do very little for you because Camellia Sinensis has a mild effect and it needs time and quantity before it becomes effective.

Camellia Sinensis has a low rate of side effects but there have been some cases where individuals who consumed large quantities of Camellia Sinensis tea have reported Camellia Sinensis side effects that include dark tea urine, irritability, nausea, lack of appetite, fatigue, and muscle aches.
