We extract aromatic oils, soluble, and sugars from coffee when it is fresh, and we brew it. If you have coffee beans that are roasted 3-weeks ago, then you will probably don’t get the best taste anymore. So, you must get coffee beans that are roasted within 3-weeks before you want to consume. You will enjoy the flavors of coffee the most. Otherwise, you would have to become unhappy with the stale, bitter coffee in your coffee mug. So, even if you make espresso with old coffee, it will not give you the tempting honey-like crema. So, buy some fresh beans and grind them accordingly before use.

2. Robusta Or Arabic?

You may have heard about both of these main coffee bean species. The whole world consumes mostly these two species of coffee. Among total coffee production, 75% is Arabic coffee. These coffee trees grow in high altitude areas and provide delicate flavors. However, they are easily affected by diseases. But Robusta coffee is pest-resistant. You will find these coffee trees in low altitude areas. These beans are also harder than Arabic and contain more caffeine. However, it is less complex as well as refined than Arabic coffee beans. So, you have to decide which coffee bean you would want to choose.

3. Environmental Factors And Processing Of Coffee Bean

Climate, altitude, and topography play a significant role to give good coffee beans. The altitude, in which the coffee plants grow, makes an impact on the coffee taste. Especially if you drink black coffee or espresso, you will understand the difference very well.

Apart from that, the coffee processing method is also important for your favorite cup of coffee. For coffee plants, high altitude, natural mist, shade, and the cover of clouds is very important. Cherry pickers must pick cherries when they are juicy and ripe. If the cherries are green, you will get sour and thin coffee.
