Where To Find The Best Iced Latte In California

iced latte

On a hot summer day, there’s nothing better than an iced latte. It cools you down and tastes great. But where can you find the best one in California? That was the question we set out to answer.

The first thing we did was compile a list of all coffee shops within walking distance of our office about 20 minutes away from downtown San Francisco. Then, armed with our map and some cold water, we went on a mission to taste-test them all! After much deliberation (and several trips back to the office for refills), here are our top favorites:

Blue Bottle Coffee:

This trendy coffee shop is known for its high-quality, small-batch coffee. And their iced lattes definitely didn’t disappoint! They were smooth, creamy, and delicious.

Philz Coffee:

This San Francisco institution is a must-visit for any coffee lover. The iced latte here was strong and flavorful, with a perfect balance of sweetness and bitterness.

Sightglass Coffee:

Another top-notch San Francisco coffee shop, Sightglass did not disappoint with its iced latte. It was rich and creamy, with a slightly bitter aftertaste that we loved.

Starbucks:

Starbucks may not be the most original choice on this list, but it definitely deserves a spot. Their iced lattes are made with high-quality ingredients and always taste fresh and delicious.

Peet’s Coffee:

This Berkeley institution is known for its great coffee (and its rivalry with Starbucks!). Their iced latte was strong and flavorful, with a slightly sweet aftertaste.

Four Barrel Coffee:

This small coffee roaster is a favorite among San Francisco hipsters. And their iced latte did not disappoint. It was rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced.

Blue Barn Gourmet:

This great, fresh-food shop serves up a mean iced latte. It was sweet and creamy with just the right amount of caffeine to give you an energy boost.

Caffe Trieste Cafe:

On a hot day, this North Beach cafe is full of locals sipping on cups o’ joe. And their iced latte didn’t disappoint–it had a perfect balance of sweetness and bitterness!

Coffee Bar:

This hip San Francisco coffee shop specializes in cold-brewing, which gives their iced latte a unique flavor. It wasn’t too sweet and had an almost savory taste to it!

Equator Coffees & Teas:

The Equator is known for serving up some of the best coffee in the Bay Area. And we were blown away by their iced latte–it was smooth, creamy, and perfectly balanced with just a hint of acidity!
